This had just happened a week before I landed in Vegas for Christmas. It is beyond appalling how many deadly force shootings occurred in Las Vegas in 2011....12! One, these officers need to be trained and tested more thoroughly. Two, the state and government offices need to be communicating with each other. Stanley Gibson repeatedly tried to access help for his poor mental health and was either rejected or had his case handled incorrectly. In the end, Stanley, who fought for our country, was killed. To make matters worse, he was unarmed. With 11 prior shootings, who would blame him for being scared to walk out of his car?! I am more than happy the Federal government has opened an inquiry into these killings. It's a start to the inefficiency that is currently in operation.
